Quentin Bruns

Quentin Bruns was born and raised in Enderby. He studied agriculture at the University of Alberta before returning to the North Okanagan where he and his wife Daniela today produce certified organic milk from 85 cows.

Quentin has a long history of community involvement, serving as a hockey coach, soccer coach and a 4-H leader. He has also served as president of the North Okanagan Holstein club, a board member of the B.C. Holstein Club and an executive member of the Kamloops-Okanagan Dairymen's Association. More recently, Quentin served on the School District 83 board of trustees and board member and vice-president of the Lower Shuswap Stewardship Society.

In 2006, Quentin was elected to the board of Enderby and District Credit Union. He served as board chair for two years before guiding the credit union through its successful merger with First West Credit Union. Quentin served as advisor for the Valley First Region in 2013 and was elected to the board of directors in April 2014.  Quentin's current committee responsibilities include serving as vice-chair of the Human Resources Committee, he also serves as a member of the Conduct Review and Governance Committee, Partnership and Government Relations Committee and serves as a member of First West Foundation.
